Mathematics at Luna Park 2008

Change of Days Available for Mathematics at Luna Park
Luna Park will now only be open on Mondays and Fridays during school term until the end of the year so look at your School Calendar to find a suitable date. We have added extra Mondays and Fridays to the available dates so look at the flyer to choose a date to suit your students.

The special educational excursion prices are at a great discount on standard entry prices charged by Luna Park.

ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS FOR ALL DAYS

There is a $35 (excl GST) administration fee for schools which are Institutional Members or $65 (excl GST) for non-member schools. All prices are subject to GST.

TEACHER TICKET COSTS FOR ALL DAYS

Free supervising teachers at the following ratios.
Primary: 1 free teacher supervisor's ticket for every 8 students
Secondary: 1 free teacher supervisor's ticket for every 15 students.
These ratios must be strictly adhered to. However schools that desire a higher supervision ratio on rides can purchase additional supervisor tickets for $21.50(excl GST) As entry to the Luna Park concourse is free there is no charge for non-riding supervisors.
However, Coney Island is considered a ride so teachers wishing to enter Coney Island with their students will have to have a riding supervisor’s ticket.

STUDENT TICKET COST FOR SCHEDULED DAYS

Primary and Secondary $21.00 (excl GST) per student

• Extra tickets bought on the day of excursion $21.00 (excl GST)
• Refunds on unused tickets will incure a $20.00 (excl. GST) administration fee.

STUDENT TICKET COSTS FOR NON SCHEDULED DAYS

Primary and Secondary $22.00 (excl GST) per student

• Extra tickets bought on the day of excursion $22.00 (excl GST)
• Refunds on unused tickets will incure a $20.00 (excl. GST) administration fee.

MINIMUM number of STUDENTS 50

If you have less than 50 students, please contact the office to discuss possibilities.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Please note: Luna Park rides are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
• Do contact us for non-scheduled days whether your group is large or small and we will try to arrange a suitable day for you.
  
• We can not guarantee that no other school groups will be present at Luna Park on our pre-booked Mathematics days
• Luna Park is an all weather facility which is open regardless of weather conditions.

TIME

Luna Park is open 11:00am to 6:00pm.
If you intend to arrive much later than 11:00am please notify MANSW Office.

TRANSPORT

Please make your own transport arrangements. Note: Milsons Point railway station is very close and regular ferry services run from Circular Quay and Darling Harbour.

CLOTHING

Students should wear school or sports uniform with school identification

FOOD

Refreshment outlets will be open for purchase of food and drinks. Students may bring their own food and drink but no glass or metal containers are allowed on the site.

HOW TO SECURE A BOOKING

Complete this booking form and send to MANSW with administration fee ($35 or $65 excl GST) plus $100 deposit. Student numbers can be adjusted within reason when final payment is due (4 weeks prior to excursion date). Please note that reduction in student numbers can affect the number of free supervisor tickets allocated to your group. A few extra tickets can be purchased on the day if necessary. Schools will be invoiced for extra tickets.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

A receipt and booking confirmation will be sent when we receive of your booking form with administration fee and $100 deposit (or full payment if less than 4 weeks prior to excursion date).

TICKETS

These will be in the form of wristbands which you must collect from the MANSW representative on the day.

WORKSHEETS

Three levels of worksheets have been devised to suit student ability and course levels. Once you have made your final payments 4 weeks prior to your excursion date, the photocopiable worksheet masters will be sent to you. Please Note: MANSW owns copyright on these sheets. The sheets are only for use in the year they are issued, may not be copied and used in subsequent years.

CONDITIONS

• Full payment is to be finalised 4 weeks before the excursion date.
• Administration fee and $100 deposit are non-refundable.
• Any monies in excess of this amount which have been paid earlier than 4 weeks before excursion date will be refunded if the school cancels prior to 4 weeks before the booked excursion date. No refunds for cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to excursion date.
• Refunds for unused ticket on day of excursion will incure a $20.00 fee (excl GST).
• These notes are only approved for use in the year a Luna Park excursion is booked through MANSW.
