Bright Ideas at Brighton

Our 2006 annual conference was held at Novotel Brighton Beach on 8 - 10 September 2006.

 

MANSW’s Annual Conference 2006 was held at the Novotel Brighton Beach, Brighton le sands on Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September. The broad conference program provided stimulating teaching ideas for all teachers of mathematics, be they early childhood, primary, secondary or post-secondary. There were workshops on teaching strategies K-12+, reports on the latest educational research and the opportunity to improve technological knowledge and skills while evaluating the impact of technology on the teaching of mathematics. Our conference included a combination of keynote addresses, presentations and workshop sessions with approximately 9 different workshops/ presentations in each session. A copy of the Program is included in the PDF of the Conference Brochure.

A display of educational publishers and distributors in the foyer of the Novotel Brighton Beach provided insight into the latest reference material and teaching support available. The discussions and networking with other teachers proved to be extremely valuable and it’s fun just catching up with friends from the past.
